Click here to start helping animals for less than $.50 cents a day In some countries, armed dog control officers randomly shoot dogs in crowded streets. If not killed instantly, the dogs end up wounded and left to die. Shooting, drowning, hanging, and electrocution are just some of the ways countries, particularly those ravaged by war, famine or political upheaval, use to control stray dog populations. Not only are these methods barbaric, they prove ineffective as the stray dog numbers continue to increase around the world. With your help, we can fight the bloodshed. WSPA is already providing much needed mobile clinics fitted with equipment and medical supplies, so dogs receive proper care in rural communities. We're also educating governments and owners on practical solutions like sterilization training and compulsory registration. But as you can imagine, there's so much more to be done.By donating $14 a month to the World Society for the Protection of Animals, you can become a member of the Animal Rescue Team and help save stray dogs and other animals from cruelty.Giving each month is important because it takes time, money and persistence to lobby governments to achieve legislation that outlaws the cruelty of animals. It helps build and establish sanctuaries to rehabilitate the animals you help rescue, and change attitudes to animal welfare through education of children and communities. What’s more, we need your support to help answer urgent calls for acts of such cruelty around the world. So for less than $.50 cents a day you can start saving these animals. I just wanted everyone to know that we had our meeting with Judge-Executive John Wilson today.  We presented him with alternative ordinaces and he was very receptive to our recommendations.

There will no longer be a 2nd reading of the original breed specific ordinance.

Once Mr. Wilson and the magistrates have gone over everything a new ordinance for Garrard County will be written and he has agreed to forward a copy of the new ordinance to Kim Hurst and me before the first reading of the ordinance.

I plan to be at Fiscal Court for both the first and second readings of the new ordinace.

If you would take a few moments to send an email to Mr. Wilson, thanking him for reconsidering and changing the ordinance, that would be great.  garrardjudge@ windstream. net

Please forward this email to anyone who may have received the alerts regarding BSL in Garrard Co. so they will be informed and may have the opportunity to thank Judge-Executive John Wilson.

I want to thank everyone for all that you did to help us (especially our pit bulls!)  here in Garrard County.  God bless you for your time, consideration and love for the animals.

With kind regard and appreciation,

Stacie Tuggle
